Dr. Melissa Bayne
Dr. Melissa (Missa) Bayne earned her PhD in Psychology from The University of California Santa Cruz in 2012 and joined the Psychology faculty of UC Berkeley in 2015. In addition, Dr. Bayne serves on the clinical psychology faculty of the University of Bergen in Norway and served as Dean of Students at UC Berkeley’s Bowles Hall Residential College.
Specializing in the application of empirical science to every-day life, Dr. Bayne designs and facilitates innovative programs that encourage personal growth and success. Her published research focuses on transformational leadership, communication and social justice and Dr. Bayne applies these concepts to her private practice and work with The Berkeley Habit Lab.
Aviad Haimi-Cohen
Aviad Haimi-Cohen co-founded the Berkeley Habit Lab based on the belief that dramatic lifestyle change is possible. Having experienced multiple radical reboots and accomplishments in his personal and professional life, Aviad has passionately studied the science of behavioral change for over a decade. Aviad comes from the business world, where he has built and led finance teams using change management tools at large and small organizations. Aviad is trained as a counselor and brings a natural intuition to his coaching practice, where he has repeatedly empowered clients to dramatically transform their lives by spending each day taking the actions of the person they seek to be. Aviad is a graduate of Brown University.
